We had to say goodbye...

On Friday, February 6, 2009, at 8 in the evening, our sweet furbaby, Buster, went to our Lord. He has been slowly declining over the last few months and with that he was blind in one eye and had lost his "street smarts". He followed Matt down the street and inadvertently stepped out in front of a car when trying to cross to see Matt. He died on impact with Matt watching.

Some sweet neighborhood children helped get Buster into a basket and Matt carried him home. We brought him to the ER vet where they cleaned him up and allowed us to be with him, pet him, and say our last good byes.

We are utterly devastated at the loss of our furbaby, and our hearts are broken. He was our first little one and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Matt, his family, and me and my family were very honored to have this furry bundle of love for 14 years. But that does not ease the pain of his loss. We will miss him terribly, and will always have a special place in our hearts reserved for him. I know I need to change the titles and stuff of the blog, but I'm just not ready to let him go. I know that time will heal, and to some he would be "just a cat", but to us, a member of our family is gone. One of our babies. And we will grieve his passing. Keep us in your prayers as we adjust to life without him.

We love you sweet Buster. You will be missed. :*(

Talley & Matt,

Sorry to hear about Buster. He was blessed to have your family care for him for 14 years and vice versa. They always bring such unconditional love. Time does heal, just enjoy his memories.

Love, Patti

Sorry about the loss of your little one, its always so sad when a "fu-baby " passes. I'm also sorry Matt had to witness the event first hand.
